Good afternoon!

We had a great day today working on various tasks.  The children started off the day by having their math unit test.  The marked unit tests will be going home with your children tonight.  Please sign the test and send it back with them tomorrow so that I know you have seen their test paper.  After the test the children worked on cursive.  They practice their cursive 'o'.  We continued on with our IB unit of inquiry as well.  The children completed their good copy interview booklets which they will be presenting to the class tomorrow morning.  Please see the rubric I posted for this assignment on Monday if you would like to help your child prepare for their presentation.  We also worked on phonics today, where they continued working on activities that tested their vowel and consonant knowledge.  The students also went to drama, french and P.E.

Homework:  Read for 15 minutes and record in the reading chart, practice weekly spelling words, cursive pages 9 - 10 and Letters and Sounds pages 4 - 5.

Important information:  Please send in magazines or coloured flyers with your child tomorrow.  We are beginning an art project and need these items to complete it.

Cookies are for sale for $1 at lunch recess.

Field trip forms and $15 are due by this Friday if your child is attending the trip.  I hope that all children are attending as this is a crucial aspect of our IB unit of inquiry.

Math re-tests are available for children who scored a level 3 or lower.  The math re-test will take place Friday at lunch recess.
