Good morning!

The Learner Profile is a large part of the IB Primary Youth Program (PYP) which we are fully implementing at SJA while we work towards full accreditation.  The Learner Profile is a set of morals and ideals that have been created by the IB to help motivate and focus both students and teachers to develop intellectual, personal, emotional and social growth which is the essence of the IB program.

This month at St. Jude's Academy the Learner Profile we are focusing on is Caring.  To be a caring student means students show 'empathy, compassion and respect towards the needs and feelings of others.  They have a personal commitment to service, and act to make a positive difference to the lives of others and to the environment' (IBO.org).

If you hear or see any actions that highlight your child being caring in their daily life, please let their teacher know so that they can be recognized for this important quality.  Or please send me an email with their name and action and I can recognize them here on my blog.
