Good Afternoon!

I hope everyone has had a fabulous February so far!  Of course, the start of a new month means that we are focusing on a new Learner Profile Attribute here at St. Jude's Academy.  For the month of February we are looking for students who are great Communicators.  This means that students 'understand and express ideas and information confidently and creatively in more than one language and in a variety of modes of communication. They work effectively and willingly in collaboration with others.' (ibo.org).  As always, teachers and students are on the look out this month for children who are being great Communicators and will be making a nomination at the end of the month for the student who they feel deserves to win the award!  Please don't forget that the aim of these Learner Profile Attributes is to help develop characteristics in our students that help them to be inquiring, and internationally minded individuals who become successful and well-rounded adults.

Here are some other events to remind you of for the month of February:

February 12th is the Pancake Eating Contest at SJA.
February 15th is a Professional Development Day for teachers, which means no school for students.
February 18th is Family Day which is a school holiday.
February 24th is the Gala Dinner at 4:00pm
February 28th is the Oral Presentation Competition at SJA at 9:00am
