Good afternoon!

It was nice to get back together after a weekend away.  The students started off the day today working on spelling.  They copied down their new weekly spelling words and worked in their spelling books.  During our IB unit of inquiry the child began their final assignment of this unit.  We are going to be creating a seasons wheel, with each season being represented on a section of the wheel and all the information gathered about the season being listed. Today the children began their brainstorming where they listed off everything they could remember learning about for each season.  During math today the children worked on estimating (grade one) and addition (grade  two).  They also went to french, drama and P.E classes.

Homework:  Read for 15 minutes and record in the reading chart, practice weekly spelling words, and math page 77 (grade one) page 76 (grade two).

Important information:  Please don't forget to check the french and drama blogs nightly, as these blogs often have important information regarding our class.
