Good afternoon!

In today's class we started off the day by having our weekly spelling test.  Marked spelling tests will be going home with your children tonight.  The children continued on by working in their spelling workbooks and had a chance to review the spelling words they have been tested on over the last 5 weeks.  In math the grade twos worked on subtracting two digit numbers, while the grade ones worked on counting money.  In social science the children completed their community posters.  We also read more of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The children also had music class and watched the dress rehearsal of The Seussification of Romeo & Juliet today.

Homework:  Read for 15 minutes and record in the reading chart, re-write incorrect spelling words ten times each, complete cursive page 64 - 65 (grade one) 63 - 64 (grade two).

Important information:  Tonight the juniors are putting on The Seussification of Romeo & Juliet at 7:30.  All families are welcome to come to the free show, which will earn your child 2,500 house points! Tomorrow is the ROM trip.  Children need to be here at 8:45 sharp, in full uniform, with a lunch.  Next Wednesday we will be having our next history test.  Please see my blog earlier this week with the study notes.
Lastly, please remember to check Mrs. Deras' blog for important information about the upcoming Christmas concert.

Best regards,

Mrs. Nelson
