Good afternoon!

It was a great end to a grade week in our one/two class.  Today the children worked on a comprehension activity, they worked in their spelling books where proofreading was a focus, they worked on number lines, root words, and rhyming words.  The children also went to french class.

Homework:  Read for 15 minutes every night and record in the reading chart, re-write any incorrect spelling words from the spelling test ten times each, finish cursive pages 32 - 33 (grades one and two), finish language book page 24 - 25 (grade two).

Important information:  The children will be writing our next history test on the 20th of October (Wednesday).  I have posted some study notes at the end of this message.  Please read them over with your child if you have spare time this weekend to give them an extra boost!  Scholastic order forms went home last night.  If you would like to purchase something for your child, please send in the form with a cheque by next Friday.  Lastly, information about school picture day went home last night as well.  You are asked to indicate your preference for a pose and background colour and send these in as soon as possible.

Have a great weekend!

Best regards,

Mrs. Nelson
