Good afternoon!

We had a great day today working on a lot of 'finishing-up' as we only have two and a half days left of school!  We started off the day working on language.  The children edited sentences and practiced proofreading in their journals.  During math today we continued working on fractions and division with the children.  They had a lot of fun with today's activities!  Ask them today to tell you what they learned about remainders.  During history we read about the fall of Rome. The children then wrote about Atilla the Hun in their journals who was a Barbarian that had a lot to do with the fall of Rome.  The children also went to french and P.E classes.

Homework:  Read for 15 minutes and record in the reading chart, cursive page 114 - 115, and Math Makes Sense page 242 - 245.

Important information:  Please make sure your children are bringing a plastic bag or something with them to school tomorrow to bring home all their school work and supplies. Everything they have brought and collected over the year is going home with them tomorrow so they will need something extra to carry it home in.

Tomorrow night is Graduation Night.  The children should plan on being at school tomorrow for 6:50pm dressed nicely.  They do not have to wear their uniforms.  It is also going to be the night of the used uniform sale for parents who are interested in buying or selling uniforms.

Thursday is Canada's Wonderland.   Please see the message from Canada's Wonderland below about the rules of the park.  Lunches are not allowed to be brought into the park.

On Friday we are having our end of the year party for our class.  If you would like to send your children in with any treats please feel free!

Best regards,

Mrs. Nelson
