Good afternoon!

We had a great day today, despite all the rain outside! In today's class we worked on our journals and wrote about how our families celebrate Thanksgiving Day.  We also worked on number relationships, worked with money, explored vowels, and practiced our cursive letters.  The children also went to french and drama class.  I am sending home the children's corrected science projects with them tonight.  These can be used to practice for a quick presentation that they will be giving on their animal tomorrow in class.

Homework:  Read for 15 minutes and record in the reading chart, practice weekly spelling words for the spelling test tomorrow morning, practice animal presentation for tomorrow's class, cursive pages 28 and 29 (grades one and two), and finish math colouring if necessary.

Important information:  Math re-tests have been marked and sent back home this afternoon.  Please review the tests with your child.  A final re-test will be given next Wednesday at lunch recess.  Tomorrow is the last day that summer uniforms may be worn at St. Jude's.  After Thanksgiving, the winter uniforms must be worn. This means that children must come to school in their mock turtlenecks and sweater vest or long sleeve sweaters.

Best regards,

Mrs. Nelson
