In today's class we did more work with Ancient Egypt by exploring the myths of their ancient gods.  We then wrote and illustrated stories of Osiris, Isis and Set and the family problems they had.  During math we did work on numbers and the different ways you use them in the real world, calendars, clocks and money.  In language we worked on vowels and sentence construction.

For homework tonight:  finish math work pages 5 - 8, cursive writing, reading for 15 minutes, and the hieroglyphs of your child's name if they are not already finished.

Items to remember: Please make sure to label your child's clothes and uniform as it will greatly help reduce the confusion and lost clothes at school.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays your children need to come dressed in their gym clothes.  Lastly, please make sure your child has indoor running shoes, black dress shoes, and their outdoor shoes to wear outside.

Best regards,

Mrs. Nelson

  1. Would love to do the homework, but the only thing in Alex's homework folder is the reading chart - no math book, no cursive writing sheets or anything. Are we missing something?
Also, the music folder is there - is he to work forward on those sheets?
