Good afternoon!

In today's class we worked we did some group reading, worked on cursive writing, read about Mohenjo-Daro and Ancient India, worked on patterning, and .  The children also had music, P.E and french class.  Journals that needed to be completed have been sent home for homework.  The children have been asked to write two sentences either re-telling the story of the hunter and the quails, or describing the ancient city of Mohenjo-Daro with an accompanying illustration.

Homework:  Read for 15 minutes and record in their reading chart, practice weekly spelling words for tomorrow's test, finish cursive (grade one: page 18 - 19  grade two: page 17 - 18),

Important information:  Tomorrow is the Terry Fox Run.  Please send your children dressed in their gym clothes for the day.  Any pledges and forms need to be brought in tomorrow.  The Scholastic order needs to be brought to school by tomorrow if you have any interest in purchasing anything.  Lastly, we are having the history re-test for Chapter 8:  The Assyrians on Monday, September 27th during lunch recess for those who scored 84% or less and are interested in re-writing their test.  Please note it is St. Jude's Academy's policy to cap re-tests at 85%.
